I was commissioned as a Lay Elder after completing the Diocesan Ministry Course with cohort A nine years ago. I assist in Worship Services, administration, reading the scriptures and prayer - and enjoy a challenge.
Pastoral work is usually with patients registered at Ixworth surgery, as a member of the Patient Association committee and a volunteer with its transport scheme helping people without cars. The 12 villages in the Blackbourne Team are included in the 35 served by the surgery. As a retired teacher of nursing I enjoy the people contact. My only blood relations are my son and his children who live in Sussex. I have no family responsibilities as I am a widow, so I can usually be available if needed
